Did you know?
Every year in the Untied States there are 5.3 million women who are abused by an intimate partner.
Since the Rowan County Shelter opened in 1990 there has been over 1,649 women and 1,818 children
to stay there who have been abused either physically, psychologically and sexually... and at times, all three.
In 2006, 109 women and 92 children came to this shelter.
Think about the people around you… this could be...
your mother, sister, aunt, friend or even a co-worker.
